Hi! I’m Kym and I am an unashamed IT nerd. I combine three decades of design expertise with a passion for crafting unique brand identities and leverage years of data processing and Excel experience.

The Personal Stuff

I have a strong interest in neuro-degenerative conditions. I lost a family member to Alzheimer’s in 2021, and I’m currently watching another deteriorate rapidly with vascular dementia. Seeing someone who’s such a big part of your life become a shell of a person is incredibly hard.

In 2012, I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis. I underwent clinical trials for Campath/Alemtuzumab, had Tysabri treatments and eventually failed on both. Most recently, in 2024, I underwent a full stem-cell transplant (aHSCT) – hopefully as close to a cure as I can get.

MS certainly hasn’t stopped me, and the last 14 years of my life have been some of the most productive. But it’s given me a perspective you can’t get from any course or certification: empathy matters. Professionalism matters. Treating every person with dignity matters.
